Summary

梦境使者 The year is 2020. Brain-computer interfaces leading to more realistic virtual experiences have been developed. While initially driven by gaming, virtual reality has made its way to other industries. One such industry is psychotherapy, which utilizes the virtual reality game Dream World. Psychology graduate student Wan Youxi is one of Dream World’s players. Her mother was one of the game’s developers, but died a bizarre death after finishing the game. Wan Youxi dives into the game to search for clues and comes across her neighbor, Xie Zhehan, a high-level player. She realizes that the game is no longer the same as it once was. A disturbing air lingers in the game. PVP players become highly aggressive and develop mental illnesses. Missions leave players susceptible to hypnosis…
